What inspired me to develop the Baddah Bing bumper pool table?

During my youth, I would attend summer day camps for kids, and had a fantastic time playing games and learning new skills. This is where I was first introduced to bumper pool and how to play this exciting fun game. I played the game almost nonstop during my time at camp, meeting new friends, improving my skill level, and had a blast playing the game of bumper pool. It was these fond memories along with the fact that game tables have surged in popularity since the pandemic, homeowners are looking for safe entertainment options for their family and friends; that is what inspired me to develop a multi-functional, space saving stylish bumper pool table.

Market Research

I reviewed a ton of customer comments on line and came to the following conclusions: Consumers are reshaping spaces in their homes to maximize usage and functionality, focusing on a home-centered lifestyle. Because of space limitations many consumers are considering a bumper pool table, they like the fact that the table is smaller in size and in some cases can easily be converted into a multi-functional table by adding a reversible table top. But many consumers were disappointed with the outdated, clunky commercial looking designs currently available. In addition, I read way too many negative comments about poor workmanship, difficult assembly, lack of sturdiness, hard to level, un-responsive cushions, cheap cloth that wears quickly and cracked, warped or unlevel play surfaces.

When I sat down to design the Baddah Bing bumper pool table my goal was clear - develop a stylish multi-functional, space saving design that plays great, requires minimal assembly, and is built to last!

Design Style

I chose the extremely popular modern farmhouse design style for its warm, simple, and casual look. The relaxed farmhouse style mixes well with other designs like traditional, rustic, or industrial designs and is considered a throwback to a simpler time when the family was the heart of a home.

Rock Solid Support System

The core of any bumper pool table is the playsurface support structure, after reading the customer complaints about table leg systems failing and causing wobble during game play, I decided to use solid core engineered wood with metal-to-metal connectors on the entire leg support system. This leg system will not flex, providing rigid support that will withstand many years of vigorous game play!
