Designer Thoughts: The Inspiration behind the Avenger 56 inch Foosball Table

Foosball has been in existence since the 1900’s and is consider one of the top 5 games for home recreation. Most people enjoy foosball as family recreation, however there are professional leagues and competitions as well, it is estimated that more than 1.9 million people of all ages enjoy playing foosball at least once a week. This is what inspired me to research and develop the Avenger foosball table.

Market Research

I reviewed the foosball tables available in the current market and read a ton of customer feedback, it was obvious that consumers are looking for a table that assembles easily, performs well, is durable and has a great look. After reading way too many negative comments about poor assembly manuals, extremely complicated assembly, balls hanging up in the corners, warped rods, cheap bushings, table legs wobbling and overall poor workmanship - my goal became clear, develop a table that is simple to assemble, performs excellent, with an up to date stylish look that is built to last.

Design Style

My goal was to develop a stylish up-to-date design that combines unique features with top quality materials, creating a "Best in Class" affordable foosball table that people simply cannot resist. I chose a modern cabinet design with a European twist - to get away from the “Clunky” square traditional look.

Hand Picked Components

The high quality components include an engineered wood cabinet covered in a durable PVC melamine, chrome plated steel rods, quality bushings , E-Z grip ABS octagon handles, tool free counterbalanced players, multi layered warp resistant play surface with ramped corners, padded goal boxes, inlayed slide scorers, stainless steel drink holders and metal leg levelers.

Rock Solid Support System

The play surface support system is the key to quality game play, especially on a fast paced competitive game like foosball. The table must be extremely strong and rigid to withstand the intense game play. I decided to use floor to surface solid core engineered wood legs with Metal-to-Metal connectors, they will provide superior support and will not flex or wobble, even during the most intense game competitions!

The handsome meticulously crafted Avenger foosball table is as enduring as it is distinctive. No details have been overlooked, the hand selected components and the two toned walnut and black finish combine to create a dynamic table that looks and plays great!
